Not sure what to say?

Ken was a dear friend whom I met while he attended Monroe. I have precious memories of him over the years I knew him. He was indeed a gentle kind thoughtful joyful hearted giant of a man. I remember him, especially on his birthday. He is not forgotten.

I worked with Ken at AIG in Portland OR. We became friends. I'm so sorry to here about his passing.

I just learned of Kenny's passing and I wanted to send my condolences to the family. I will always remember Ken's smile and his big presence.. My prayers are with you.

My prayers to you and your family during this time. Kenny always had a smile and kind words when we talked. I have not seen him for several years but I know that we all will see him in heaven.

Along the path of life we sometimes have the pleasure of meeting people that really do make a difference in our lives. Ken was one of those folks for me, a person who helped change my view of the world. I'm glad for the time I knew him both on and off of the hoop court. My wish and hope is that his children will know and remember him as a powerfully positive individual who always had a kind word and a smile for those he met... on and off the court...

Dear Family Sykes,I have known Ken since I was a foreign exchange student to East Anchorage High in the early 80ies. To me Ken was a guy who loved life and was full of life, too! When we would go out in a group of friends he would always make sure we were taken care of,safe and protected, kind of like our big brother. His great smile will always stay with me. Please allow me to express my thoughts and sincere wishes.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Ken was such an important part of my growing up and he taught me a lot about how a person should be treated. He will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to meet him. I truly did love him and will miss him a great deal.

I met Ken when we both attended UAF. A tremendous athlete and leader, he will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I remember Ken from college in Fairbanks. For one year I was a student advisor in Bartlett Hall. Every third weekend, I had dorm duty for the night. At that time, Ken was dating a girl on my floor..nearly every time I was on night duty, Ken and his girfriend spent the evening on floor and he would periodically check with me to see if everything was okay. At midnight, when it was time to lock the door and walk the halls and staircases of the dorm, Ken went with me..I never asked him for...
