At The Granite Club, Ken and his
wife were having lunch.
We were the only ones in the dining
room at opposite ends of the room.
We co-incdently left at the same
time and one would have thought
he had known me all his life...as
we went down the same elavator he
was most engaging.
He was such a gracious, considerate
and genuine human being.
A true Canadian !

In honour of Ken.
He was an extraordinary man who we will continue to admire.
Most importantly, he was a true and proud Canadian who was not afraid to be himself.
His legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
We will be forever grateful for his contributions to the arts.

It was a pleasure, indeed a rare honor to have known Ken Thomson. He was one of the nicest, sweetest, kindest and most sincere man I've ever known. I'll greatly miss his friendship and kind words and offer my most profound sympathies and prayers to Marilyn, David, Peter, Taylor and all of Ken’s family, employees and friends. I’ll miss you Ken. It was great knowing you. With tears…rest in peace.

I used to see Mr. Thompson in the Directors Lounge at Maple Leaf games and I remember he was always very nice and friendly even though i was just a young girl. He was humble and down to earth and I was even unaware of the fact he was the richest man in the country because of his modesty and reserve. It is a great loss and I express my deepest condolences to his family and close friends.
