Kenneth Bailey Veach

Kenneth Bailey Veach went to be with his Lord and Savior in eternal glory on August 22, 2009. He received healing after a lengthy illness. He was born September 6, 1932 in Tyler, Texas to John Veach and Dell Heath Peterson. The family moved to Longview where he graduated high school in 1951. Mr. Veach served his country in the Army. He returned to Longview and married high school sweetheart, Ima Dell Taft, in January 1958. They had a much adored daughter, Kimberly. He worked and retired from Stroh's Brewery after 23 years. He and his wife owned and operated Friendly Finance for 12 years. He enjoyed doting on his beloved grandson, Tyler, and watching all of his activities. He moved to Liberty City to be closer to Kim, Tyler, and son-in law, Derrell. He attended Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Veach is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ima Dell; daughter and son -in law, Kim and Derrell Weatherford; grandson, Tyler Weatherford, all of Liberty City; sister and brother-in law, Connie and Buddy McFerrin; sister- in law, Jean Doss, all of Longview; several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jane Wiggins; and granddaughter, Kasey Weatherford. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Beebe officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
