I knew Chief Ward through my association with the LRMFA Training Division and LRMFA Executive Committee. He was a quiet and unassuming man who had a great love and respect for the fire service,the Rumney Fire Department and those who served there. That was evident to me any time we talked.
Most of all I remember he was just one of those folks who just a super nice guy through and through, and a pleasure to be around.
