Keneth Mason Waugh passed away early Christmas morning. His ordeal with Melanoma began four years ago and resurfaced in June of this year. He chose an aggressive form of trial treatment to combat the disease unsuccessfully. He was born the eldest son of Kip and Jean Waugh of New Braintree on...

Not sure what to say?

It has been 15 years, yet remembered every day.

I also graduated from high school with Kenny. I played on the baseball team with him and tossed hundreds of hay bales on the family farm during haying season. I hadn't seen Ken since we graduated in 1964, but after reading the messages other have left on this website,I am struck by the consistent themes in how he chose to live his life. While the rest of us were goofy, confused teenagers, Kenny was very smart; a hard worker and an independent thinker. He thought deeply about doing the...

To the entire Waugh family,
I was very shocked and saddened to read that Kenny passed away. We were high school classmates as well as neighbors. Kenny was always a gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor. His knowledge of many subjects was just awesome. I have no doubts that he was one of the best nurses a patient could ever have or a co-worker could have to work with. As a nurse I know that is a rare quality.
I'm very sure he will be missed by all.

Kenny and I went through high school together and I have many fond memories of Kenny and of the Waugh family.

Like John Bruso, we competed academically and went to the best schools but the competition was always friendly and we admired his success.

Although we both ended up in Vietnam after graduation, I chose the easy way and went after pilot training. I flew med-evac and carried the very same patients that men and women like Kenny were saving on the ground. I honestly...

I never met Ken, but we have a mutual friend. I have heard so many amazing things about him, and he has truly inspired me. My heart goes out to his friends and family. xo

I first met Kenny when he took care of my mother in 1992. When she passed away he was so kind to our family. I reconnected with him when my dad was in the hospital. He not only remembered our family but he continued his kind and generous ways. He spent time visiting my dad which meant a lot. My neice and I visited the farm and he gave coloring books for all of my students. Kenny was so loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Valerie Kemp, Pittsfield, MA

To Ken's family
May God bring you peace to your hearts in the midths of missing Ken. I know that is what Ken wants. I miss him terribly and I wish I could have been with you to share his service. I know his love will always be with us, so will his smile when it rains, "good for my garden" he will say. He walked on this earth as a wingless angel, now he has his wings, and I know he is flying without fear for the first time.
