I have fond memories of Ken. He was my dad's best friend and could be found sitting at their kitchen table sharing a beverage and laugh. Rest In Peace, Ken!

You were one of the good guys, Ken. I missed you at Chautauqua this year, a lot. Missed sitting on your porch and gossiping, critiquing speakers, lamenting the news and remembering the old days. Much love, always.

Quincy and I enjoyed our visits with Ken and Cathy, particularly the ones in Chautauqua, NY. Chautauqua is an escape from the Texas summer heat, and a lifelong learning environment that we all cherish. The political discussions could still get heated, though.
We all strive to make a mark on our world, to do some good, and leave the world a better place. Ken did that, and will be remembered for it.

A tremendous loss to the Wendler family, and the great state of Texas. Go with God, Mr. Wendler.

Ken Wendler was a mentor and guiding light for many in our community. His vision and kind words to those in the struggle for justice live on in his honor - especially for those who's lives he touched directly.

I am sorry to read of Ken's passing . I knew his brother Ed but never met Ken . Even so , I am well aware of much of his consequential and positive impact on this world. Que vaya con Dios ! My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
