Kenneth Henry Wittmeier, 78, of Sioux Falls, SD, formally from Aberdeen, SD, passed away July 13,2025.
Ken was born on July 21, 1946 in Aberdeen, SD to Edwin and Nettie (Wolf) Wittmeier. Ken was raised in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School.
After graduation Ken enlisted in the Army in 1966 stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia. He proudly served his country for 3 years, spending 13 months in the Vietnam War, earning 4 metals and 3 badges. Discharged in 1969 with Standby Reserve Discharge Honorable until March of 1972.
After serving his country, Ken worked in car sales for 45 years, in Aberdeen and after he moved to Sioux Falls in 1980. He retired in 2024.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing over the years with his dad and many friends and camping in the mountains and the Black Hills with his life partner Vicki Ford.
Ken is survived by his Life Partner Vicki Ford of 45yrs, 6 nieces and nephews with their spouses, and many great nieces and nephews. As well as many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Janice Molinari and Ruby Haugen, bother-in-law Steve Molinari, and two nephews.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 5 to 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home
The burial will be at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Aberdeen, SD.
