Dear Kerri & family,

We are so shocked and saddened by the death of your father. Pops was the greatest guy, always ready with a wisecrack and a hug, the tough guy who was really a big teddy bear. We share in your pain as Scott's dad passed away 2 days before Pops and we're sorry that we weren't able to attend you dad's service. Please know that you and Pops are in our thoughts. The last time we saw him was at the Greenwood Car Show. I got a hug, Scott got - well - you know!

Pops was one of three softball coaches when I played for Goofy's during the mid 90's. He was a inspiration and true leader to our team. Since I was the pitcher he reminded me when I was struggling "we need strikes Goose". I fondly remember those words, and Pops always said what needed to be said. Our team had great times during league and especially tournaments all over Washington and the NIT win in Oregon. I will miss you Pops and save a position for me on the softball team in the...

I was sad to here of Kenny's death.I had the plesure of playing with him as he filled in for our injured pitcher(playing and competeing with kids half his age!)-he was a great softball player who said what he had to-and then gave you his smile! I'm so sorry for your loss....

We were all so sad to hear of Kennys passing. He was a hunting season fixture since I was a little girl. He will be greatly missed by us all.

I am so said to here of the death of my friend K.A. We both played for Petchels Meats, when Seattle had the best Fast Pitch teams in the Nation.I have always missed his laughter! He was a great man! Judy I am really sorry for your lost.

I worked with Kenny from the first day he started at the Rainier Brewery. I was introduced to fast pitch from him and played against him for two years. He was a terrific catcher , he played hard and worked hard. Like others have said he seemed tough at times but had a heart. Our prayers go out to the Atkinson family at this time. God Bless, Jim and Mary Sutton

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Kenny. I had the honor of working with Ken for over twenty five years. In that time we laughed, joked, argued and managed to go on a couple of hunting trips together. He was a man that tried to play tough but had a heart of gold.He was a great outdoors man that loved hunting, fishing, his beloved softball but most of all his family and friends. You were taken too soon but left your mark while you were here.Goodbye Ken.

I played softball with Kenny at
Meadowbrook. What a player he was!
My thoughts go out to all his family.
