DR. KENT DAVENPORT

Kent is a friend from the running community and was my orthopedist. He had me in stitches, laughing until the anesthesia kick in when he repaired my PCL. I´ll miss his appreciation for sarcasm.

I met Kent through my wife in 1981, when we were in Honolulu on our honeymoon to run the marathon. He was such a kind and thoughtful person who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. It´s profoundly moving to read of his love and faithfulness to follow Christ. Kent´s love for others will live on though surely he will be missed.

Kent was a wonderful man. I have learned so much in our little time spent together. I think of him often and he is missed.

So sorry to hear of Kent´s passing. I knew him from my days of training for marathons back in the late 70s and he was also my orthopedic doctor. A very kind gentleman, full of life.

I remember when we ran the Honolulu Marathon...Xcelent athlete. I remember bike road racing times with him...I remember when he operated on my shoulder....A GOOD MAN. I hope he had a painless moving-on...
