Not sure what to say?

My sincere condolences to Kent's family and friends. Kent was my friend growing up in SW Portland. We played basket ball in grade school and spent numerous hours having fun in there pool. We did a lot together and I will miss him dearly. When he moved to the east coast it was difficult to catch up to him. But he will always have a place in our hearts. His memory will live on to those who knew him. May he rest in Peace! Doug Wiser.

Kent, you left too soon.

After discussing politics, the environment and other subjects with you almost daily, suddenly, no more emails from you. No copies of your funny and/or philosophical online comments on NY Times stories. No coffee, biscotti, books or pandemic masks as gifts from you in the mail.

No, just memories. I re-read your letters from France during 1973-74. I recall adventures in our 20s in the Cascades, like the weekend you, I and another friend spent...

Kent and I met at the Instituto in San Miguel de Allende in a Spanish class in the late 1970s. Over the course of the next 40 years, we traveled through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala on many adventures, sailed the NW waters, with voyages in Barkley Sound, Canadian Gulf Islands, and San Juan Islands. Through all this time, we've remained in close contact. Such a wonderful friend, like a brother to me, and never a harsh word between us in all these years. We all share a very great loss, but...

There was a gang if us that started together at George Smith School. Kent was the crush of all of us little girls. We roamed the neighborhood together, all of us. Maranda, Loretta, Melissa, Sandie, Jane, Brian...and more. We walked everywhere we went then. Such a sweet guy ❤ I am sorry for your loss. I sure the dogs are missing him. I am a Lab lover too.

Dear Jan -
Your loss has touched me deeply with your beloved Kent’s tragic and sudden passing in September. I am truly at a loss imagining your grief and sadness.
You are in my thoughts daily.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Rachel

My sincerest condolences to Kent's family upon the news of his passing.
I've seen several pictures of Kent through the ages, but this one seems most familiar to me, like the pictures from our Markham Grade School 8th grade photos and those from Jackson HS. I will always remember that special smile and dimples in his cheeks.
We probably had French classes together with Madame Miller and the other teacher at Jackson.
The man Kent became after HS showed his best character and...

I met Kent at Jackson HS. In 1974 after Kent finished his year studying in France, Laurie S and I met him in Amsterdam. We bought a VW Squareback (year unknown) and drive that car through many countries. Farthest south we got was Morocco. We spent 2 1/2 months traveling around Europe. He was a pleasure to travel with. Many nights camping, in hostels, and living cheaply. I have only great memories of our time together. Condolences to his whole family.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
