In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Maureen,

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

I couldn't believe what I had just been told,my bestfriend Colleen was gone and she was just 19 yrs old.We first met October 18 of 2005 and from that day forward I knew our friendship would thrive. We talked on the phone so many times explaining how good we both were doing, but now I sit here crying writing you this poem because the last time I'll see you will be at your viewing.I feel very blessed to have been a part of your life even if it was only for a short time,to me it felt like forever...

To all of Colleen's family and friends-
All of us at Collier High School are saddened to learn of Collen's passing. She was admired and appreciated by our Collier community. We will keep Colleen and all of you in our hearts and prayers during this difficult days.

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER

Dearest Ogden Family,I don't think words could explain what an exceptional young lady Colleen was and all the peoples lives she has touched in her short 19 years.I am truly sorry for the tremendous loss your family has to endure, let's hope all the positive that Colleen stood for helps the grieving process.I extremely appreciate the very short time we did share.I want you to know Colleen spoke very highly of her family and how lucky she was to have all that support. If I can help in anyway...

I went to school with colleen. I had classes with her through her term at Princeton High School. She had turned her life around and had a lot, from what I could percieve, to look forward to in this year. She was a very strong person and it is that strength which we should all hope to have to get through this. I will be at the memorial service to pay my respects and give my condolences.
