Kent Elden Rice

My condolences to Christine and the Rice family, I ham his uncle Bill, his mothers brother. I was 18 while I worked at he sheet metal shop behind his parents home in Murray, Kent was just a baby and it was my pleasure to play with him then. Maybe it was that concoction the has carried on for so many years.

I had the privilege of being Kent's neighbor for 19 years. He was an amazing, selfless man. Both our families had our ups and downs through the years and the one thing we knew is we had each others back. Kent would be there in an instant to offer help or provide the right tool for the job at hand or take the wrong tool away and help finish a job the right way. He cared deeply for us as neighbors and went out of his way to make our lives better. I have no doubt Kent touched the lives of many. ...

Kent was a mentor , preceptor, pharmacy example and a cherished friend. My 5th yr of pharmacy school at Utah I was assigned to the Grand Central/ Fred Meyer to do my retail Rx rotation . He and Marty Warner took me under their wings and supported my career . I worked for them as an extern then intern then with their recommendation I became a fellow work mate then a Rx manager. Marie Rice, Kent´s deceased wife was a realtor and sold us our 1st house which we still live in today 42 yrs later ....
