Hello, I wish to pay respect to an individual I have never met yet feel a reverence for through an inanimate connection. I have recently acquired a 1966 Cadillac Sedan DeVille that was purchased new by Mr. Baird 58 years ago. Reading about the prominence of this man makes me respect the car and it drives my restoration efforts even more to be worthy of a great WWII veteran. of Flippin DID start the fiberglass boat building in Flippin. Kenzie was a brilliant engineer from California.My first cousin, Billy Clyde Johnson,was his nephew. Annie Baird, his wife, was a sister to Katherine Osborne Johnson ,Billy's mother.

I missed Kenzie's passing and unfortunately had not followed up on him and he had stopped in a couple of years ago to visit.

He was a wonderful person from my experiences and I always enjoyed his wit. I met him in my teen's and we swapped product. He started the fiberglass boat business in North Arkansas and most will never give him the credit he deserves for being that visionary.
