Kern was a member of the first churches I pastored (Cygnet/Jerry City) and celebrated my last Sunday with his attendance and kind remarks at my last church (Hayes Memorial .UMC. He was a committed Christian, a great conversationalist with a great sense of humor! He carried his share of the load and lightened life up for all of us. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.
