On February 28th, 2011,a reunion occurred in heaven of the sweetest and most joyful kind. Our beloved sister Effelita(Kevin's mother),passed away. What a reunion it must have been when she met Kevin. I knew Lcpl Joyce from the school of infantry. We were both in delta co. I remember talking to him and him always smiling. I used to joke around quite a bit and he always laughed.Every sunday when we had to report back in from liberty I would show up early and he would always be wearing his green military shirt with basketball shorts. Me and a lot of the other marines would come to him when we got a MRE we didnt like in order to trade him for a better tasting one. His wall locker was stacked...

I just want to say Kevin was a good person and I never got the chance to thank Kevin for being courageous enough to join the Marines and serve our country the last time I seen him. I went to school with him in Joseph City, he may have been quiet but he had a funny sense of humor that kept me amused in class and we shared acouple of laughs.
