Not sure what to say?

My dearest "Buddy", I just seen the passing of Kevin. So sorry for your loss...know I have you and the family in my prayers! I think of you often and cherish the memories we made!

I grew up on 32nd st a few houses away from the Bolend family. Each and everyday we got together to play sockball at the corner, or baseball at City Park, and basketball at Frances Willard grade school. We were like brothers. I only recently learned of Kevin's passing and it hurt like losing a family member. Kevin was a very kind person and I'll always remember him and his dog Poochie.

Kevin, Tommy and Mike were my first friends from 32nd Street. We reconnected later and played softball together for many years. I will quote from the movie Stand by Me--- "I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"

Valerie and family....I am truly sorry at the loss of Kevin. He was truly a great person and I never met anyone who spoke ill of KB....he had a heart of gold and big as all outdoors...the world has lost a truly great, caring person...I am so glad I got to see him at Sarah Sigel's baby shower September 23 and speak to him...my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolend family...John Jennings, olathe

Always nice to younger school mates, thanks for that! Prayers to you & your Family! God Bless.

Although I never got the chance to meet Kevin in person, I feel like I've gotten to know him from all the stories I've read from family and friends. He truly sounds like the best father and spouse one could ask for. My condolences and sympathy go to the Bolend family. I wish you all comfort, strength, and love during these times.

My condolences go out to Valerie, the kids, and to all the Bolends and Dillmans, as well as Kevin's many friends. We grew up together as classmates at Cathedral and were great buddies. Kevin was, of course, born with a great sense of humor. He brought so much joy and laughter into the world. Glad we were able to speak with each other by phone for over an hour, this past May when I visited KC. Kevin and his family will be remembered at Mass this Sunday at 7 a.m. at the historic Nuestra Senora...

Margie (Korach) Harris and I express our deepest sympathies for Kevin's family. Although we have lived away from K.C. for a long time and only saw Kevin occasionally at reunions, we still have warm memories of Kevin as one of the nicest, kindhearted classmates in high school. For Kevin's family, Margie and I hope that as time goes by your sadness will mellow into wonderful memories of good and decent husband, father, brother and friend to many.

Our prays and condolences to you Neenee and your whole family. What a special person KB was.I don't know many people in our world who was liked by everyone he met, but Kevin was one of those people. Be Strong and may God Bless you.
