Not sure what to say?

I've attempted many times to write, speak and think of the loss of my "true" best friend. Although we did not talk as much as we did while working as Deans together in Georgia, our conversations never lacked emotion, debate, and continued learning. Kevin, Dr. Bratton, continued to teach me over the years about life, the right way - Kevin's Way. His dedication to his GOD, family and education is immeasurable. Because of his faith I know we will meet again. I hope they let us argue in heaven...

Thank you for all your hard work at OCC as Dean of Social Sciences over the past 10 years. We appreciate you and feel lucky to have worked beside you at OCC- OCC Nursing Faculty

Dear Suzy, Andrew & Jonathan, I am so very sorry for your sad loss. Pastor Edwards gave a beautiful service. Please accept my sincere sympathy. Keeping you all in my prayers. God bless you. Love & prayers, Janet Lax from Redeemer Church

Heartfelt Condolences Arrangement- BASKET INCLUDED

I spent many hours in the driveway with Kevin. He always had great advice and was willing to listen to me when I needed it. I’m glad we were able to go see Deep Purple this summer together.

I grew up with Kevin and his family, and counted him as a friend. I am saddened by his passing, and would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to all those who knew and loved him.

I had the pleasure of working with Dean Bratton a few times in the last several months at Oakland CC. He was so respectful, appreciative, and kind. What a loss for OCC and those of us who had the pleasure of working directly with him. My heart goes out to all of us, but especially his family and close friends.

Thank you Kevin, for taking a chance on me!! You were a great mentor and Boss. I am deeply saddened for your family and our social sciences department.
You were a great man and we appreciate everything. Fly high my friend

My heart goes out to the Bratton family and my OCC colleagues. Kevin was a great friend, mentor and colleague. About 6 weeks after I became a Dean, I reached out to Kev for some guidance. The following week he called to see if i was in my office; he was going to stop in to visit. Those visits happened often and I cherish every one of them. Kev was always up for a challenge and was always a supporter of his coworkers. I'll miss the visits, lunches, evening phone calls and wise cracks. Rest...
