Broomhead Funeral Home - Riverton Obituary

Kevin Bright, born June 8th, 1961, was an extraordinary man who believed in God, family, integrity & hard work. He left this world too soon, returning to his Heavenly Father and was welcomed with open arms & reunited with his loving parents. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 25th, 2024, on his mother’s birthday. What an incredible birthday present to be reunited on such a special day. He is a beloved father, grandfather, veteran, brother & friend. Kevin lived a beautiful life filled with love and kindness. His selflessness marked him as an extraordinary man who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. You couldn’t walk into a store without him starting a conversation with a random stranger, which quickly turned to laughter and always finding something in common.

Born with an innate spirit of service, he served diligently as an LDS missionary in the Rome Italy Mission. Continuously serving God throughout his life in numerous callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He also dedicated a significant portion of his life to his country in the United States Army. His commitment to duty exemplified his character and instilled in him a deep sense of pride that resonated throughout his life. You would never catch him pass up on the opportunity to thank a fellow veteran any time & anywhere there was one. His example has led even his children & grandchildren to also never pass up the opportunity to thank a veteran. Following his military service, Kevin continued to serve his community through his hard work at the United States Postal Service, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. Along with his service in the military, he fulfilled his service within the Postal Service & retired in 2021 where he could now enjoy more time to spend with all whom he loved.

Kevin was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his children & grandchildren. His love for them was boundless, and he was a constant source of support and encouragement. He delighted in creating lasting memories during family vacations and trips. His greatest joy in life was all the opportunities he had to be with his children & grandchildren whether that was teaching them how to drive, going to the movies & haunted houses, the safety of guns and shooting or just being outdoors around a campfire. These memories will last a lifetime. Kevin’s influence in all their lives will be felt for generations to come, as he imparted not just skills, but values of kindness, hard work, generosity, integrity, service & the importance of family.

In addition to his family, Kevin found immense joy in the company of his loving dogs — Captain, Mystique & Hope. They were more than just pets; they were his companions, sharing quiet moments & exciting adventures.

Kevin Bright was a man of extraordinary character, whose kindness knew no bounds. He had the unique ability to always make people laugh which brought so much joy to our lives & others. His legacy of love & selflessness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we remember Kevin, let us celebrate the life he lived & the profound impact he had on our lives. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He is survived by his 5 loving children, 12 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild plus many others that he loved & considered family.  His legacy is great & will live on through them all.

Not sure what to say?

In all the years I knew Kevin growing up as teens, he was the most well-mannered and polite person you could meet. Always kind and affable. We are the same age so this feels he departed way too young. I really, really, enjoyed my associations with him.
