Kevin Butler

I am sorry to say that I did not know Kevin passed away last year. Gay Dad events are intermittent and can be attended by different sets of people each time. I have missed him at the last couple events. Recently I thought I heard someone mention Kevin in the past tense and then found this obituary. Kevin touched so many of our lives. To Kevin's family please accept my delayed condolences.

I was so sorry to learn of Kevin’s struggle with ALS. I worked with him for many years at Stratus in the Corporate Communications group. He was knowledgeable in so many areas of writing and design and, thankfully, was happy to pass along what he knew to the rest of us. His sense of humor was finely tuned and could shed a whole new light on things so we had a lot of laughs along the way. I cherish the memories of those times. May your memories bring you comfort.

We offer our sincere condolences to Jim and Kevin’s families. He was a wonderful support person to so many, and one of the happiest persons I have ever met.

Kevin was a delightful next door neighbor when he and Jim lived at Deer Hedge Run in Maynard, MA. He was warm, intelligent and very quick witted. I always enjoyed hearing his take on what was happening within our condo community, our town, and the world at large. I was both impressed and grateful when Kevin stepped up to lead the affairs of our condo community after an unexpected time of upheaval. Kevin willingly took on tasks both mundane and strategic.
