Kevin Earl Carper, 39, of Moore, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Born November 19, 1967, in Anderson, IN, he was the son of Donald Eugene Carper of Anderson, IN, and Pax Pauline Parker Carper of Lakeland, FL. A graduate of the South Carolina Police Academy, he was a Deputy III with the Spartanburg County Sheriff�s Department. He was a member of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (PBA) and St. James United Methodist Church where he was a member-at-large of the Church Council. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and a loving Dad. Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife, Andrea Fowler Carper; three daughters, Kyleigh Carper, MaryKate Carper, and Caroline Carper, all of the home; a brother, Jeffery Carper and his wife Jeanmarie of Tampa, FL; three sisters, Teresa Bowlin, Vicki Thomas and her husband Scott, and Amanda Sweeney and her husband Don, all of Anderson, IN; eight nephews; five nieces; two brothers-in-law, Reg Fowler, Jr. and his wife Ronda of Winston-Salem, NC, and Jon Fowler of Pauline; his mother-in-law, Mary Fowler, and father-in-law, Reg Fowler, Sr., both of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2007, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007, at St. James United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. C. E. "Smoke" Kanipe and Sheriff Chuck Wright. Burial with full honors will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Billy Hopkins, Chris Raymond, Jeremy Soukup, Jim Rhodes, Brian Andrews, Brian Hill, Jeffery Carper, Jon Fowler, and Reg Fowler, Jr. Honorary Escort will be members of the Spartanburg County Sheriff�s Department and all other law enforcement agencies. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kevin E. Carper Memorial Fund, c/o Wachovia Bank, Attn: Tom Parks, 101 North Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
