My sister and I always go to the annual Memorial Day Weekend Irish Fest at Gaelic Park in Oak Forest. We were there to see Ronan Tynan sing when I noticed a man wearing a "Freedom is not Free" t-shirt. That saying is very near and dear to my heart. I went to tell the man that I liked his shirt. Phil, Cathy & family,
I shed more than a few tears this morning when I received a notice there was a new entry in Kevin's Legacy Guestbook and I read Phil's moving note to Kevin.
My son, Mike, has reported for his fifth pre-combat training briefing this month. Mike is my Superman. He, like Kevin, is one of countless young men who are extraordinarily humble about the daily heroic feats they performed under extremely hazardous conditions.
