DAUNT, Kevin J.F. – Of Flint Township, age 35, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor.



 



Visiting hours are 3-8 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, where a Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.



 



The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 East Fifth Avenue, Flint. Kevin will lie in state in church after 10 a.m. Friday. Father Thomas Firestone will preside and interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery.



 



In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.



 



Kevin was born in Flint on December 19, 1983, the son of Jerry and Susan (Williams) Daunt.



 



Kevin was an avid bowler and loved every sport. He was a proud firefighter of Flint Township for over 10 years, a Special Olympics volunteer for many years and loved having fun with his family. He enjoyed traveling and loved the Mackinac Bridge Walk.



 



Kevin was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He received the Gift of Life-Kidney transplant from his brother, Jon, in 2004. He was a proud donor himself after death.



 



Surviving are his mother, Susan;



 



siblings, Melissa, Jeremy and Corinna, Nathan and Gina, Jonathon and Megan;



 



nieces, Lela and Zoey; nephew, William;



 



aunts and uncles, Bob (Jeanne), Patti, Mary (Doug), Marti (Bob), Pat (Sue), Pete (Linda), Tom (Kathi), Dan (Martha), Paul (Georgina), Helen (Mike), Steve (Lesley), Mark (Chris), Paul (Bev), special uncle Mike (Suzie) Owens;



 



special extended family, Elisabeth and Helmut Scherer, Lothar and Margo von Daggenhausen, Mike and Melinda Keller;



 



many cousins and friends;



 



He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald "Jerry" Daunt on July 21, 2013 and his brother, Adam, on December 5, 2013.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Kevin was a great guy. I'm going to miss his visits at Station 3.

My wife and I were very sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. I (Loren) first met and became friends with Kevin when he joined the fire department. He was a great guy to be around and he always had a positive and upbeat attitude. I was always happy to see him when he would stop by the station to visit after he was no longer with the fire department. I'm sorry that we won't be able to attend the memorial service as currently we are out of town. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family for...
