Kevin was a dear friend and I am honored to call him my colleague. I remember many days at the gym we would run on the treadmill side-by-side and have great talks. Kevin was always encouraging me and I will always cherish our time together. He was always smiling, laughing, and was a genuinely nice person. He was loved and he will be missed. My thoughts go out to you Michele, John, and Diana and all those missing Kevin. He will never be forgotten.

Kevin was light. Kevin was promise. Kevin was the future. He was the physician that would eventually cure disease. In the short time I knew him he changed my life. Never have I known someone who loved people the way Kevin did. He had such a faith in humanity. He was inspirational. I wish I could have been there and I pray for his family every day. He loved his family so much and it was evident. I guess we never know the pain a person endures. May God bless this family and may he allow the legacy of Kevin Dietl to continue on. Kevin will surely change the world. In life and beyond.

John, Michele and Diana, my deepest sympathy goes out to you. No words can express the emptiness that those who were privileged to know Kevin are feeling. The world has lost a caring and intelligent man who touched many people. He always had a smile on his face, that is what I always remember about him. His infectious humor as well. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Dietl,
I still remember when Kevin and I agreed that he woudl be a terrific peer tutor for the Academic Success Center at Maryville University. I always loved it when he would get to the office early to chat for a few minutes before his first appointment with a student. His commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals was sincere and intense. I also recall how diligently he and Mark studied for the MCAT. I feel very fortunate to have worked with this amazing young man. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Dear John, Michelle and Diana, Our heart breaks for the grief and sadness that you must feel. Kevin was such a good person and will always be remembered with a smile on his face and an eagerness to show kindness. Remembering him as he rollerblades through the neighborhood with his beloved dog will always make us smile. mostly I will remember the times he would stop by for a chat while I was gardening, asking how I was and always offering to lend a helping hand.
