Following his graduation from Hermitage High School, Kevin Farmer worked for Ukrop's for 18 years and then became involved in the family business, David Rose Company-Sales, LTD. Kevin was actively involved in Ducks Unlimited of Western Henrico, Cavalier Gun Club and National Sporting Clays Association. He shared his love of hunting with his numerous friends as he traveled abroad on safari and hunting trips. Always with a smile, and with the art of telling a story, Kevin never met a stranger. With his engaging personality and loving spirit, Kevin had friends in every corner of the world. The family wishes to celebrate his life with friends and have you share your stories on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hermitage Country Club. Not sure what to say?

So sad to hear of Kevin's passing. He used to call on me at Wiley and Wilson (engineering) when he moved over to the David Rose company. Always happy and had a smile on his face, that is not something you can say about most sales people in the HVAC industry. We drifted apart when i moved back out of state. I know this is almost 8 years late but Jordan and Olivia you kids have a wonderful dad.

To the Farmer Family,
You have my deepest condolence in the loss of your beloved Kevin. He was more than a customer to me here at Toyota... He was a friend!
Yours truly,
Garland Willis

Cathy, Jordan and Olivia,
I am very saddened to hear of Kevins passing. We went to HHS together and had many great times through the years. Kevin was always one of my favorites in school and some of my best memories from back in the day are because of him. I know this is a tough time and I would encourage you to remember the smile as those of us from HHS have done over the years. Praying for the Peace and Grace of an ever present God to shine on you at this time.

Kevin your infectious smile and outgoing personality will be missed at Cavalier Sporting Clays. My life is better having known you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Cathy, Jordan and Olivia,
I am heartbroken to learn of Kevin's passing. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you all. May your wonderful family memories bring you comfort at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. God bless you throughout this difficult time.

Cathy and I grew up together from childhood playmates until we graduated from Hermitage HS. Although I did not know Kevin personally, I believe he inspired the lives of many who knew him. Cathy, treasure your memories with Kevin and hold them deep within your heart always. God bless you, Olivia and Jordan during this tremendous loss. And when you only see that one set of footprints in the sand, that is when God will carry you.

From your loving Buck Island friends our family will never forget the wonderful times we experienced with our loving friend Kevin and all your family. May God bless Cathy and the children as they continue to manage without their loving husband and father. Everyone will miss our great Virginia friend! We love you guys
