Not sure what to say?

Dear Barrie and Freeman Family, Kevin Freeman was the purest, best horseman I have ever known. He was also a statesman and diplomat, serving many years on the board of the American Horse Show Association (now referred to as the US Equestrian Federation). He was very empathetic, as the performances of the horses he competed on demonstrate so well. In my life and that of my two girls, Kevin was beloved. From 1977 to 1997 I lived in Paris, France returning home to Oregon for up to two months...

Often the most valued friends are the ones you don't see very often, but when you meet they feel like home

Dear Family, A truly special guy, Kevin was a true star in every respect and wonderful friend. He will be giving everyone in Heaven riding lessons! My very, very Best, Jock Hannum Unionville, PA

Dear Barrie and family, Our condolences on the passing of Kevin. He was a wonderful man, kind and thoughtful, always willing to help. Also a great sense of humor. Neil and Melody Gilmore

My deepest condolences on the loss of Kevin. He was the epitome of class and grace as an equestrian and teacher. Although I no longer ride, I will never forget the lessons I have learned from him and I am blessed that I had the opportunity to know him. I am so very sorry you have had to say goodbye to your partner, father, brother, uncle. My deepest sympathies.

To Barrie and family, We were so deeply saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. He was to us the best of the best, or "the real deal" as Kevin would say. He not only represented the riding sports brilliantly in competition, he shared that skill and knowledge with so many others. We have always been grateful for the two of you allowing us to take some of your family time to accommodate us for lessons and/or unexpected visits! Our hearts go out to all of you. - Kevin and Rena Koler

We extend our deepest condolences on the passing of our beloved family member Kevin, a true legend, mentor, and coach to countless equestrians around the world. He will always be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace. We hope you can find comfort and strength in the memories you shared together.

Barrie and family. I am so sorry for your loss. A friend sent me a saying" Love leaves a memory no one can steal,Death leaves a memory no one can heal. Don Dryer Jr.

Kevin was the epitome of class and excellence, both on and off a horse. Kevin's constant support of his fellow equestrians exemplifies his generous spirit. He gave a clinic at my farm before we bought it. I hope some of Kevin's magic lingers there. Thank you to his family for the beautiful event & loving tribute yesterday. Warmly, --Linda Sferra
