Sincere sympathy to all of your family on the loss of the true 'nature's gentleman'. Kevin was a man for all people, a true lover of horses and the sport of kings who inspired others to look on racing as a relaxing part of life and an opportunity to build new friendships.
We have all known and loved Kevin for many years. We know he will be looking down on all the racing fraternity, jockeys, trainers, administration and general race goers alike to guide us all...

I only spoke to you a few times Mr Heffernan, but you were open and honest and sweet and a true Gentleman. You cheekily asked for a birthday present so I sent you a blown up Canvas of your 1990 Newmarket Winner GOLD TRUMP, I wish I was there to see your face when you received it but your genuine thanks was enough.

HEFFERNAN. - Kevin. Highly respected committee- man and past vice president of Thoroughbred Club of Australia. Always a great supporter to me personally, as President. Kevin retains legendary status in the motor business and a great supporter and participant in the thoroughbred industry. Our deepest condolences to Danny, Carole, David and family. HEFFERNAN. - Kevin. The Friday Lunch Group of eleven mourns the passing of our longtime friend, companion and gentleman to each of us, and to many others. His personality and character will be sadly missed but not forgotten. Farewell Kevin - Mike Kostos, Chairman and ten other good men, and true.
