I recently traveled to South Dakota in September of 2022 & visited "Crazy Horse." The first thing that I was drawn to doing first was to watch a native American Indian dance. Little did I know he was world renown & as I sat in the room where he sang & danced his hoop dance & played flute in his his heartfelt & teaching all in audience what is truly important ... I was totally enthralled. I bought one of his CD´s & he gave me another one for free. My husband was the reason we got to be there...

I wish I could recall the first time I met Kevin. I believe it was the early to mid '80s at the Ft. Sisseton Historical Festival. I would look forward to seeing him there every year. I loved his stories and the way he could mesmerize you with the hypnotic sounds of his flute. My last encounter was only a few years ago. He still had that infectious spirit and ability to make you feel like an old friend, even if (I'm sure!) he didn't recall. He was a tremendous personality, fantastic...
