West Springfield – Kevin A. Lohnes, 55, passed away Sunday night in Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. Kevin was born in Springfield, the son of Ronald Lohnes and the late Elizabeth (Newth) Lohnes. He was a 1981 graduate of West Springfield High School and has lived in West Springfield all his life. He worked at Oliver’s Auto Body, Home Depot, Bertera Auto Group and at Park Square Realty. Besides his father he leaves a daughter Haley Lohnes, her mother Joanne (Sbalbi) Prentiss; a brother Keith Lohnes; a nephew Brody Lohnes and many many dear friends. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 10:00am followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. We just learned of Kevin's passing. The Bennett family would like to convey our deepest sympathy to the family. Kevin meant a lot to our family. Gordie and Chris worked with him and spent time on the CT river with him. Rest In Peace, Kevin.
