Kevin Lyons

Kevin and I worked together at Westwood JHS for many years. He was highly regarded by the students, and he was respected and warmly regarded by staff. About ten years later, I met up with Kevin during his time working as an AP at PWSH, and I was trying to settle my son's account. Kevin was a friend of whom I respected and held in high regard. Mr Lyons was my band director at Westwood Jr High. Kind, patient and super skillful, he taught us how to sight-read and how to have fun by making good music. One year, on a whim, he had an idea for us play Christmas music in the halls on the last day before break. It was a great experience. He really instilled in us a love of music and I have passed that on to my children. I will be sure to tell them of Mr Lyons, as he was an inspiration to so many of us
