RIP dear Kevin. Our paths crossed at San Jose State when you came to do your Masters in the department and I was Chair at the time. You were so special and a forever Spartan, and Spartan-spirited- generous, cheerful, brilliant and always ready to help others. I am so sad to hear this news. Much love to your family and friends

Kevin, you were a man for others. With your passing it was revealed how much you meant to your housemates. Your generous spirit in a house full of college students and young working people, made you the person the other residents looked up to. As your landlord who had the privilege to get to know you the last 4 years, you will be missed and your positive influence on those who lived with you will always be remembered.

I ran into Kevin last year while he was giving bicycle rickshaw rides after a concert in Mountain View. I hadn't seen him for years but he had the same infectious smile and personality to match. He was the kind of person who leaves joy in their wake. I'll always remember him fondly.

I hope you had the chance to live life to the fullest, following your own path and leaving no regrets behind. You had a beautiful spirit, Kevin. I want you to know that this beloved spirit will always be remembered.

I’m really sad to hear of your passing, Kevin. I remember when you called me out of the blue while in Santa Cruz and crashed on my couch. It was great having you over during a difficult time in my life. I enjoyed hearing stories about your travels and always wished you well. RIP.

Rest in peace, Kevin. I pray that a loving God cares and provides for you. Thank you for the company, as you said to me. Below is a picture of Kevin and I before we saw a live performance of The Nutcracker for my birthday last year. I don´t say this lightly, but I love you.

RIP Malins. Tough, strong, intelligent, dedicated member of Righetti HS polo. Gone too soon.
