Dr. Kevin Masterson was a beloved father, esteemed medical doctor, and a pillar of the community. His departure has left a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Dr. Masterson's life was a testament to compassion, dedication, unwavering commitment to the well-being of others, and his faith in God.

Born on April 14, 1952 in Cleveland, OH, Kevin was one of seven children of Blondie and Mary Masterson. From an early age, he exhibited an insatiable curiosity and a genuine desire to help those in need. This innate calling led him to pursue a career in medicine, where he would go on to touch countless lives and make a lasting impact on his patients and colleagues.

After playing college football and completing his medical degree at the University of Michigan, Dr. Masterson embarked on a journey of healing and service. He amassed a large family medical practice serving patients throughout the west side of Cleveland. He was well known for giving generously of his time, and dedicating himself to providing exceptional care. His expertise and deep faith, combined with his empathetic nature, made him a trusted confidant and a source of comfort for his many patients as well as family and friends.

While his professional achievements were remarkable, Dr. Masterson's greatest joy came from being a father to his five children: Mark, Matt, Molly, Phil (deceased), and Jimmy (deceased). He cherished every moment spent with them, instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of faith in Christ. He was their guiding light, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams and reminding them of the power of love and prayer.

Outside of his medical practice and family life, Dr. Masterson was an avid lover of his faith, in healthy living, and working out. He found solace in biking through the Metroparks, often taking long bike rides to keep himself in shape, to find peace, and to pray. His appreciation for his faith was infectious, and he inspired many to embrace the healing and serenity it offered.

Dr. Kevin Masterson's legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched. His patients will remember him as a compassionate healer and a source of comfort during their darkest hours. His children will forever carry his wisdom and love, passing it on to future generations. The medical community will honor his contributions and his patients will miss the exceptional care he provided.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us remember the lessons he taught us: to be selfless, to always do our best, and above all, put your faith in God. Dr. Kevin Masterson's impact on the world will continue to resonate, reminding us that a life well-lived is one dedicated to the service of others.

Dr. Masterson is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, his children, and grandchildren, his cherished memories, and the countless lives he touched. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy inspire us all to make a difference in the lives of others, just as he did.

Not sure what to say?

I was a classmatge of Kevin's at U-M in 1970-74. Only knew him from Math class in 1970-71, and living in South Quad a floor above him at that time, but for such a powerful, talented athlete, Kevin was a standout student and above all, an affable gent. Though I lost track after moving out of Central Campus in autumn 1971, I am not at all surprised to learn that Kevin not only completed med school at U-M (an extremely demanding study), but was a beloved doctor and friend to all. I am...

I was a salesman who called on Dr. Masterson for many years. He was always gracious and welcoming. I last saw him a few years ago and was sad to hear of his passing. What a wonderful guy.

Kevin was an incredible Friend and teacher. I am so blessed and grateful for the time i got to spend with him. His Kindness and Selfless desire to help others understand the truth about Christ was absolutely amazing! His patient Love and understanding has forever impacted me and touched my life and countless others. I'm am terribly heartbroken by the loss of this Great Man of God! No words can explain what he has meant to me!

Kevin and I were grade school classmates. It was a pleasure and an honor to attend parochial school together. Kevin was good person, a good teammate, and a good friend. Rest in peace.

Dr. Kevin was one of the finest physicians that I've ever known. His compassion, empathy, and sense of humor will long be remembered. Godspeed, Kevin!

Georgeanne, Mark, Molly, Matt and the entire Masterson family - Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Kevin was a wonderful doctor, husband, dad, grandpa and a truly good person. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and I´ll never forget the wonderful memories of our talks when the kids were small.

When I needed a GP in the late 90s, I was so fortunate to be referred to Dr. Masterson. I was well satisfied with the care he provided; being a fellow Wildcat was just a bonus. Well done, good and faithful servant.

So sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. I did not know Kevin well in High School but felt very fortunate to talk with him at the last couple reunions and get to know the person he had become. My Mother was thrilled to get to know Georgeanne and Vicki P through St. Bridget's and then to have Kevin monitoring my Father's last few years of decline. Kevin was thoughtful, sensitive and of course very knowledgeable in his treatment. Thanks, Kevin. My prayers go out to Georgeanne and his family. ...

My most sincere condolences to Mrs. Masterson and the Masterson children. Dr. Masterson was our family doctor for decades, and he delivered three of our four children. His kindness, patience, and willingness to share his time and his faith helped me so much - especially when I was a young mother. I have quite a few stand-out memories of him, but the ones that speak most to his beautiful character came right after he had delivered my children. He took the newborn in his hands, asked for...
