Kevin Patrick McCarthy, a husband and father, an accounting graduate of The Catholic University of America ("CUA"), a former Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI"), and President of a trial lawyer support and technology business, died early on November 3, 2016 as the result of a traffic accident in Indianapolis, Indiana where he lived with his family and worked.

Kevin was born at Indianapolis, Indiana on February 2, 1972, the Catholic Feast Day of The Presentation of The Child Jesus (Candlemas), and also lived in Illinois and Rockville, Maryland.  He attended parochial schools in suburban Washington, D.C., and at Springfield, Illinois, and graduated in 1990 from Cathedral High School at Indianapolis (where his grandfather was President of the first graduating class) before matriculating to CUA.  During college, Kevin worked at the FBI Headquarters as a tour guide, and then after receiving his bachelor degree from CUA worked in the FBI office in Springfield, Illinois before he attended and graduated first in his class from the FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia, becoming a Special Agent in early 1996.  Kevin worked as a Special Agent for five years at the Mobile Division in Alabama, where he married his wife of 15 years, Stacey Dulion on May 13, 2000, before leaving the Bureau to enter private business.

Late in 2000, Mr. & Mrs. McCarthy moved to Indianapolis whee entered the private sector working on an emergency telephone notification system, Reverse 911.  Beginning in 2006, Kevin formed two (2) related companies to support law office operations, including the litigation process:  Express Medical Records and Case Pacer.

Kevin is survived by many loved ones, including his wife of 15 years, Stacey Dulion McCarthy.  Kevin and Stacey have four (4)  children: Ryan (deceased at birth); Kevin Bartholomew McCarthy; Mary Claire McCarthy; and, Moira Grace McCarthy.  He is also survived by his parents, Kevin & Patrice Borders McCarthy of Indianapolis, a brother, The Reverend Father Charles Ryan McCarthy of Indianapolis, and three (3) sisters:  Molly McCarthy Mehan (Matthew) of Silver Spring, Maryland; Bridget McCarthy Kaufman (Michael) of Cincinnati, Ohio; and, Moira Patrice McCarthy of Manhattan, New York, as well as his beloved father-in-law, David Burke Dulion, and mother-in-law, Sandy Neal Dulion and two (2) beloved sisters-in-law, Megan Dulion and Ashley Dulion Conyers (Jimmy), both of Fairhope, Alabama.  Kevin also has many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and dear, dear, friends.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church.

Dear McCarthy Family,

We were so saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. We lived next door to him in Maryland when he was a child and we remember him, along with all the neighborhood children, climbing trees, playing kickball in the cul-de-sac, and sledding down the big hill between our homes. Those are happy memories we will hold in our hearts and will keep him, and your entire family, in our prayers.

We wish you peace and strength during this difficult time.

Clean sweep of OTF Peak Performance Week

Matt Clark

November 6, 2016

Kevin worked out with us multiple times each week at Orangetheory Fitness. He always came in with a smile on his face (even though he was normally late). He quickly got to know all of the staff, and they all knew him. Kevin and I became good friends over the past year, and I always enjoyed seeing him in the studio. He was a great advocate for our studio and sent several members in to join after hearing him speak so highly of us. During our peak performance week, Kevin took home the top spot in our challenges every day! One of my favorite photos is still the picture he took of me handing him the prize certificates, which he fanned out like money. He was kind and encouraging to everyone in the studio. Kevin was an absolute joy to be around, whether we were pushing each other side-by-side in the studio or grabbing a drink to unwind on a night off. He will be truly missed, and my thoughts and prayers will be with all of his family and loved ones!

Kevin was here! But that we could all leave such a larger than life mark on those we know and love...on the world at large through our good deeds, through the people and companies with and for whom we work making them better and finally on those of us who were lucky enough to be able to call Kevin our friend. He would do anything for anyone, was always quick with advice - on life, business and everything and anything in between - and when he offered it you could tell it was because he really and truly cared. Love to Stacey, Kevin, Moira and Mary...we'll all be here for you. Just as Kevin will be here in our memories and in our hearts, always. "Hit the 18, he's only got a 2 of clubs." I'll never forget Kevin P. McCarthy.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay awhile, and make footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same.

The latter reflects Kevin's impact on my life. The footprints Kevin left are so very large, and the void is so very great.

Always ready to support an important cause!

We are beyond saddened to learn of Kevin's passing. He exuded a larger-than-life personality that embraced life as few do. He was a complete optimist that never met a stranger and relished helping others. He embraced giving back: championing many American Cancer Society initiatives. For over 15 years, Kevin was an important part of our lives - and we will miss him greatly. A blessing to have known him: he will not be forgotten - Brad and Jen Burk

Dear Stacey and the entire McCarthy family,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of Kevin. I knew Kevin through Highland and he was always so kind and friendly to everyone. He befriended my grandson when he was visiting from Arizona and became one of his favorite people. Whenever he visited he would ask if he would get to see Kevin.
He will be greatly missed by many.
Love and Prayers to all of the family.

I am so sorry for you loss Mrs. McCarthy. I can't even imagine. I am thinking of you and praying for your family. Mr. McCarthy was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed. You were wonderful friends to my dad and sister. And you gave me so many things when my baby was born. Charlotte, Nathan and I are forever grateful for your kindness. I remember running into Mr. McCarthy at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans the weekend I graduated college and he was the man everyone wanted to talk to. He bought me a graduation shot and had us all laughing. He really was a special person. We were all so blessed to know him.
