Not sure what to say?

When I knew Kevin, he was the sergeant in charge of the mechanics during our Operation Iraqi Freedom deployment. He was a solid, professional soldier. He and his men did the best of jobs under the worst of conditions. I remember well then-Sergeant McCleary's ever-present smile. To his family, I extend my sincere condolences; may you find the peace and comfort you require.

My heart is saddened, I lost one of my best friends, in our hearts always Kevin. May God bless you and your family during these trying times.

To a beautiful soul in heaven. You are loved by so many Because you touched so many people. You will missed by some many Because you always made a difference and made us smile. I am so honored to have served with a warrior.

He was one of a kind. The world needs more Kevin's

To the Family of SFC USAR (Ret.) Kevin S. McCleary,

The membership of American Legion Post #234 in Hart, Michigan, would like to share our deepest sympathy with your family on your loss. SFC McCleary’s dedicated and honorable service to our country makes him a hero as far as we’re concerned and certainly you’re very proud of him, too. Clearly, he was a highly decorated war veteran who proudly served his country where and when needed, as heroes tend to do. We want you to know...

You were the first NCO I met when I first got to Germany as a PVT. Despite not being your direct soldier you saw me walking to the barracks with all my gear because I had no sponsor. Without hesitation you not only helped me carry my stuff you got me a barracks room to stay in. Now that I am where you were in my career I always try to emulate you as a leader and a person. Your one of the best men I know and it was a privilege to know you brother. Rest easy my friend.

Great man great friend help me with a lot of things and we had a lot of fun together he will be missed by all rest in peace my friend.

Kevin, you are such an inspiration to a lot of the military men around our time. You will be so greatly missed by so many of your smiles as well as wisdom. Steve and Tesse

I didn't know him or your family but I thank him for his service and sending my sympathies to his family an friends.
