Merritt Funeral Home Obituary

Kevin R. McConville, 62, of Mendota, passed away September 1, 2022 in his home surrounded by his family.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Earlville with Father Jeff Windy officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
 
Kevin was born May 8, 1960 in Mendota to Raymond and Ruth (Gallagher) McConville. He married Sheri Schwingle on June 10, 1983 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota.
 
Kevin was a 1978 graduate of Mendota High School and a 1980 graduate of Joliet Junior College. He grew up farming and enjoyed planting and harvesting crops in the Triumph area. He also spent his life in the construction business, and later started McConville Construction. He enjoyed playing softball, golfing, watching sporting events and spending time with his family.
 
He is survived by his wife Sheri of Mendota; two daughters Brittany (Tim) Cantlin of Earlville and Abby (Mark) Higdon of Mendota; three brothers Tim (Lori) McConville and Brian (Julie) McConville both of Mendota and Ron (Eunice) McConville of Lisle and 5 grandchildren Zoey, Killian and Cavan Cantlin and Kinzie and Chloe Higdon.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Beth McConville.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

I remember Kevin from high school- he was well liked and just an all around good guy that everyone enjoyed being around. My sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.
