Kevin Paul McCormick, 64, of Brick passed away on Friday, October 4th at his residence. He was born in Glen Ridge, NJ and lived in Brick for many years.
Kevin was a schoolteacher for the Toms River Board of Education.
Surviving is his mother, Jean McCormick; his two brothers Ed and Timothy; and two sisters Maureen Mitchell and Beryl Vallejo.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11 AM at Epiphany Church, Brick, NJ. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach is handling the arrangements.

Kevin and I were counselors at a 4H camp in the mid eighties he saved me from drowning on one of our staff canoeing trips . He without hesitation dove off the bluffs swam out and pulled me up and to shore . I was happy to have connected with him again in recent years and will be forever grateful

I met Kevin through my husband, Gabe (Kevin’s nephew). Kevin was always so kind and warm, and willing to help however he could. He built us the arch under which we were married, and when we moved into our home, he helped us with all the little (and not-so-little things) that nobody tells you that you’ll need to do!
