Funeral for Kevin Lane McVay, 40, of Moulton will be Friday, May 23, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dewitt Crowe and Delmer Dubois officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. McVay, who died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Moulton, was born Aug. 16, 1967, in Lawrence County to Romand McVay and Norine Mizell McVay. Kevin was a man with great love for his family. He was a good provider and was employed at 3M for 11 years as a maintenance technician. He loved the outdoors. He was very proud of his children and loved them very much.
Survivors include one son, Cory McVay of Moulton; one daughter, Kayla McVay of Moulton; his mother, Norine Mizell, and his stepfather, Wayne Mizell of Danville; his father, Romand McVay, and his stepmother, Johnny Ruth McVay of Moulton; one brother, Jerome McVay of Danville; one sister, Neeka Parker of Danville; one stepbrother, Rusty Mizell; and two stepsisters, Teresa Hill and LouAnn McElrath.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Hogan, Chris Smith, Jeff Riddle, Tony Hill, Robert Kirksey and Donald Ball.

I AM VERY SORRY

i know i just met you kids today but kevin was my cousin . he had an exchange class at my school in high school ( brewer and i would go by his class and make faces at him .. he didnt know who i was either at the time but he soon found out . i loved him very much . i felt closer to him cause we had school together i really miss him alot and i love yall very much

I went to school with Kevin, he was a good friend. I am truly sorry for the loss for both familys. God will get you through this....He will never put more on you than you can bare...Keep his memorys and your Mom's memories alive....

I worked with Kevin for a few years in construction. He is one of the best men I have ever known. Never a boring moment loved his family and his life.We have been and will continue to pray for your family.
