Kevin Murphy

It was a privilege to teach just down the hall from Kevin. He was an extremely bright and gracious man. I miss him.

Thank you to All leaving comments and contacting the Family with Condolences as Our Father Kevin Michael Murphy was a Good, and Very Special Man, Husband, Father and a Great Teacher. He taught High School English in Jackson, MI, for 30+ Years (Jackson High, then Parkside High School,then back to Jackson High for 2 years). He Retired in 1986.

October 5,2012, the World lost a Very Special Man a few weeks shy of His 91st Birthday. The Lord gained a Good and Humble Soul.

The Family...

It seemed like he knew everything. I enjoyed talking to him in English class and purposely took his study hall. He was a pleasant man, not easily riled, although he could he inspired. He let me keep my Warner's English and Grammar book. He smiled and said, "I guess that would be alright", nodding his head in agreement that I needed it. Into adulthood, on the occasions that I catch myself slaughtering The English language, I raise my hand and say, "Sorry, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Warner..." His chuckle...

Mr. Murphy was my college prep English teacher for 2 years at Jackson High School. He was a wonderful teacher & a great mentor! I always tried to keep in touch with him & loved our conversations.
Even after he retired from teaching, he was still teaching thru his thoughtful & caring interactions with others.
He was so happy when myself, along with two high school friends stopped to see him one day. He said how wonderful it was that we had all stayed in touch with each other &...
