Kevin Patrick O'Brien passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the age of 41. Beloved husband of Elena Ayala O?Brien and father of Christian Tyler O?Brien. Son of the late Theodore O'Brien, Jr. and the late Carol Castrinos Sharp, grandson of Patricia O'Brien (Granny), the late Theodore O'Brien, Sr., the late Gabriel Castrinos and the late Elaine Castrinos. Brother of the late Nicholas O'Brien. Also survived by his beloved mother-in-law Maria Ayala, sisters-in-law Karla Ayala (SIL) and Susan O'Brien, his nephew Luke O'Brien and niece Sarah Jeansonne. Included survivors are his aunts Kathleen O?Brien, Karen Castrinos and Hanya Castrinos, his uncles Jim Castrinos and Ray Castrinos and a host of other family members and close friends.
Kevin was born on March 24, 1973, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA. He was the owner of Lakeshore Communications. Kevin enjoyed his job as well as fishing and being a creative artist. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral mass to be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell, LA 70461 on Friday, March 13,2015 Visitation at 9:30 a.m. and Mass of 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children?s Hospital of New Orleans.
Today I learned of the tragic passing of a childhood friend. Kevin was a good friend and a great person. Prayers for his family for this devastating loss.

Just heard today about the passing of Kevin. My name is Jackie & I had the opportunity of sharing my hear at Carols funeral. I mainly knew Kevin as a very age but was extremely close to his mom. I am so sorry to hear of this & I would have been at the funeral in honor of his mom. Will keep U guys in our prayers for you to find peace & comfort as you seek the hand of God.
