Chambers Funeral Homes - Cleveland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin O' Boyle who unexpectedly passed away on June 28, 2020 at the age of 66. Beloved son of Eugene and Phyllis (deceased); brother to Sheila (Michael), Bryan, and Danny (Julie); survived by the mother of his children, Carol; preceeded in death by former spouse, Mary Kay; loving father of Sean, Kaitlin, Megan (Chris), Eric (Taylor), and Tanner; grandfather of Gregory, Bennett, and Elliott; cherished uncle and great-uncle, as well as loving cousin of many and friend to so many.  He will be dearly missed.

Kevin was a Class of 1971 graduate of St. Ignatius High School and worked in various management and coaching roles at United Parcel Service for 33 years.  Currently, he was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer and Board member.  Kevin was instrumental in starting the local CASA chapter, which has helped make a life-changing difference for a countless number of children over the years.  Kevin was also an outstanding ambassador for CASA, speaking to friends, civic, fraternal and business organizations, donors, and media outlets about his experiences being a CASA volunteer.  The passion and dedication of Kevin will be sadly missed by CFACC and OH CASA.

Kevin was a caring, positive, passionate and fun-loving man with the "gift of gab" who loved to live life every day and who put the needs of others before his own.  He loved his family more than anything else and enjoyed spending time with extended family and friends--especially if there was a band!  And of course, anyone that knew Kevin knew of his unparalleled love of the Cleveland sports teams and that he always loved to say "Ya know--I think this could be the year..."
