Dear O'Connells, It was a pleasure knowing your dad. He and your dear mom have been very kind to me and I've really enjoyed serving them. He was often very quiet while I was there , but we did have a few great laughs and some interesting conversations. I'll miss him, too, but look forward to meeting him again in the great resurrection. Kevin was the same age as I but he was a year behind me at St. Roses School in Cleveland, and later at Lakewood High School. We knew each other for many years because of our growing up in Lakewood. In the fall of 1945, I was in the Navy and was at a football game in Jacksonville, Florida with some of my Navy buddies.
