Not sure what to say?

I worked with Kevin at MIT during his years as director of the VIA Internship Program, and have missed him very much since he left,
and continued to think of him often
even though I haven't seen him in years. I'm so sorry for your family's loss; he was a remarkable person with a terrific sense of humor, and a great colleague.

Dear Martina. I heard the sad news of Kevin's passing as I was on the train headed down to Arkansas to be with my sister Ursula for her daughters wedding. We are both sitting here now remembering your dear husband and what a great and caring man he was and how he touched our lives 30 years ago. He was like a father to both of us and treated us with such kindness like when he opened his home to us in Annapolis. Always with a quick wit but never judgemental . We will never forget him and...

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Martina,

Jenny and I send our deepest condolences over your loss of Kevin. We have been thinking of you. Father Armand also sends his condolences and will remember him in a Mass. Sorry we could not attend the services but know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Hoping to see you someday at Dave and Mary's.

Hello Martina,
This has been such an incredibly difficult time for you and your family, though it is calming to know Kevin is at rest. I know your faith and hope will sustain you during the coming months, as well as the beautiful memories of Kevin's most kind and gentle spirit. I'm smiling recalling John's delight at Kevin teaching him the computer! Kevin's generous spirit was a blessing for both John and Betty, and for all who knew him. My condolences to you and your children, and you...

Martina: You and Kevin have been through so much in the last months. Kevin, Jack and I send our condolences as you learn to accommodate your beloved husband's loss. Kevin was a smart, funny, gentle man who was a great friend to my father John and step-mother Betty as well as a loving father and husband. He will be missed.

I picture you Kevin sitting in your recliner in the small den at the end of the hallway in Lexington watching t.v. with the leather rolled arm couches and the sun pouring in from the porch sliders as if it was yesterday. It has been 30 years. Kevin you were like a father to me and a good one at that. Who can forget the time I took your car and brought it back with the left front fender smashed in? You were justifyably mad but patient and it was a lesson I learned with...
