Kevin J. Oost

Kevin J. Oost, 59, Lampe, MO, son of Billy and Sarita (Breckenridge) Oost, was born July 12, 1959 in Gary, IN and departed this life on July 1, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones.

Kevin had a passion for watching sports of any nature.  He enjoyed playing softball with the Team Eastsiders in which he was inducted into the Chicago 16-inch Softball Hall of Fame in 2012.  Kevin loved sports cars and most likely could be found listening to George Thorogood “Bad to the Bone”.  In his later years, he enjoyed fishing and relaxing by the lake.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include: his wife, Harlie Oost of Lampe, MO; his father, Billy Joe Oost of Paragould, AR; daughter, Sarita Rechlicz and husband, Dan of California; step-daughter, Sarah Stephens of Hollister, MO; brother, Billy Oost of Ohio; two sisters, Pamela Pokrywezynski and husband, Frank of Whiting, IN and Tonya Kelley and husband, Jim of Ohio; three special nieces, Gina, Toni and Nikki; four grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at New Life Church in Berryville, AR on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Josh Shields officiating.  Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
