Not sure what to say?

God be with you, beloved uncle and friend.

Deepest sympathy and sorrow on KC's passing. I lost touch with KC after he moved from Buffalo, but re-contacted him only this year. His online postings about his life were remarkable for the candor, forthrightness, and lack of rancor. I remember while the Ryans lived in Williamsville,NY, KC once chalked an entire Wembly Bemus comic strip (in multicolored chalk, no less) on my family's driveway! Rest in peace, KC. Condolences to the Ryan family.

Sincerely,

John...

So sorry to hear of KC's passing. I went to prom with KC at Saratoga in 1980. I pray that God will watch over you and your family, comforting you in your grief and giving you assurance that He has him in His loving arms. ~Carrie Parrish Petersen

Dear Ryan Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I met KC my first week at Notre Dame when we worked together in the snack shop at Flanner Hall. KC was very kind and I enjoyed his humor. Please accept my most sincere sympathy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy on KC's passing. KC was such a terrific friend and we shared so many good times together with our Quest friends here in Buffalo and also when we would go off on some adventure to local points of interest. I will always remember the good times that I had with KC.

I think I was one of the first friends that KC made when he moved to Saratoga. We double-dated together to the Senior Prom. I remember his cartoon artwork and his ambition to operate his own pharmacy...which sounded so adult coming from a high school student! I reconnected with him a few times over the years via e-mail, though I hadn't seen him since high school and I did not know of his illness. I remember his smile well.

Dear Ryan Family,
Thinking and praying for you all during this difficult time. KC was a true friend and everyone in QUEST enjoyed his company and zest for life. So many great times-- he was on the Leadership team and served as our Communications liason and also ran the Dining Out Club. May God hold you in His arms and heal the sorrow that you feel.

KC and I went to Notre Dame together, and we shared an interest in comics and gaming. When I made a pilgrimage to California in 1991 to attend the San Diego ComiCon, I spent the first part of the week at KC's place in Roseville, played tourist in San Francisco, and then drove down to San Diego by way of LA. It was one of the best weeks of my life.
I count KC as one of the best friends I've ever had. It's hard to type this through the tears.

KC was a wonderful guy when I knew him at Saratoga High. Creative, thoughtful, super smart. I was not aware he was sick and just read some of his courageous blog posts; knowing he had incurable cancer and not a word of regret. I know he's in a better place (as he did). God bless him, his family and his friends.
