Kevin Sampson Obituary

Kevin Joseph Sampson, 57, of Petersburg, passed away at 8:22 a.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his residence.
Kevin was born on December 13, 1958 in Alton, the son of Harry D. and Martha M. Madosh Sampson.
Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Edwardsville High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College. He served two and a half years with the United States Army in Frankfurt, Germany as a dental lab technician. Kevin was previously employed with Ace Hardware in Petersburg, Lowe's, and had also been an over-the-road truck driver. He was handsome, loving, caring, and enjoyed reading and helping others. Kevin was a 24-year friend of Bill W.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Denise Sampson; and one brother, Kenneth E. Sampson.
He is survived by his fiancée, Coleen Koch of Petersburg; two daughters, Jessica Koch (fiancé, Frank Nation) of Tallula and Stacey (husband, Dusty) Rademaker of Petersburg; two grandchildren, Franky Nation and Coyt Rademaker; eight siblings, Maurine Sampson of Alton,IL, Joan (husband, Don) Hawk of Edwardsville,IL, Mary (husband, Jon) Klutzing of Troy, IL, David Sampson of Maryville, IL, and Mike (wife, Cecilia), Nancy Strickland, Willy (wife, Jean) Sampson, and Tim Sampson, all of Edwardsville; seven nieces and four nephews; eight great-nieces and three great-nephews.
Cremation will be provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society prior to ceremonies.
The family will be hosting a Memorial Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Real Life Christian Church, 2450 Taylor Ave., Springfield with Rev. Jon Berg officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 75817, Topeka, KS 66675-8541.
