Kevin Lee Wright, 67, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. He was born on December 18, 1957, in Connersville to John and Carolyn Wright. He married the love of his life, Melody, on August 26, 1978. Kevin retired from Matthews Casket Stamping plant in Richmond, after 40 years. He was the shipping and receiving supervisor.
Kevin had the best sense of humor and was an angel on Earth. He was the best daddy and papaw. He enjoyed coaching his girls in softball and basketball. He enjoyed cutting wood and fishing with his son. His grandsons were everything to him and they got whatever they wants. He was happiest when he was with his family. He loved to aggravate and embarrass his family, just to make them smile. He loved Rolling Stones, the Connersville Spartans and the Cleveland Browns.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 47 years, Melody; his son: Joey (Crystal) Wright; his daughter: Lacey (Danny) Steel; his daughter: Nichole (Aaron) Dalton; his three grandsons: Branson and Max Wright, and James Dalton; a nephew: Benjamin Brown.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Lisa.
Kevin's family would like to thank The Cottage at Heritage House for the compassionate care he received.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Becky Hockersmith officiating.
