Send Flowers

Kevin Wayne Yokum, 27, a U.S. Navy information systems technician from Lake Charles, La., was stationed in the Pentagon.

His sister, Trudie Ceasar, said Yokum came from a military family and has a brother in the U.S. Army. He was a radio communications specialist.

"The Navy is what he always wanted," she said. The two spoke by phone every Sunday.

"Kevin was a fun-loving, silly guy," Ceasar said. "He was the life of every party."

Not sure what to say?

I attended LaGrange High School, in Lake Charles, Louisiana as Kevin was in my 1991 graduating class. Kevin, I think of you and your family all the time. I go back to my many memories of you in high school. You were always so kind! You had so many friends and were liked and admired by so many in high school. I remember how great your smile was every time you were walking down the hall. Or when we were in class you always had the biggest smile on your face. I remember you were always so...

We send our deep sympathy to your family. Kevin is still sadly missed by others and is not forgotten. Each day may God give the strength needed to cope.

You did not pass in vain, brother.

USS Horne

Kevin, you are not forgotten. Your friends who served with you on the USS Horne remember you and other crews who never had the honor of serving with you now know of you and we all thank you for your service.

We thank Kevin for his service to our country. Today, we pray for his friends and family. We will never forget. Much love from Texas,

REMEMBERED

It's been a hard struggle day by day. It seems so unreal living the tragedy and loss of a friend that I can never laugh nor joke with... I miss my genuine friend that I think about all the time. Kevin was an awesome friend, but most importantly a great shipmate. The day we were evacuated he was the first person that came to mind. My heart was worried, but even more so when we were released to go home and I exited the parking lot took notice of his co-workers and didn't see Kevinfrom that...

Kevin, I miss you so much I can remember that last weekend we hung out with each other before God came to take you away. We had some great times together thank you for spending my birthday with me. Making that RED VELET CAKE......Love you aways.

You did not know me, but I am one of your relatives from Texas.I am very close to your parents, so that mean, I was close to you also. When they hurt, I hurt. May God continue to Bless your family. You will always be our Hero. Love You.
