Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers are with Khari's family. I am truly distraught about your loss of such a kind and intelligent soul. I previously worked with Khari in the Coro Exploring Leadership Program in 2020. We were 16 year olds aspiring to lead the world into a more peaceful state. I recall we had to work on a project that boosted the outreach of small businesses during the pandemic. Khari naturally took on the role of being a part of the "Art" group within our project. That's where he and I...

Khari will leave a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. Highly intelligent, articulate, caring, thoughtful and full of passion, love and promise. An artist and leader...the Khari I knew. Thank you, Khari. I'll think of you often.

I severed alongside with Khari when I participated in the Exploring Leadership program in 2020. Khari was a great leader and incredibly kind. He supported those who were around him always including others and provided a platform for those who didn't always feel comfortable speaking. Khari touched the lives of those around him, and I'm sure he will live on the memories of all. To all of the Walkers, wishing you well and extending my sympathies.

There are no words to adequately express the depth of sorrow and pain that comes with such a profound loss. Khari´s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Wishing you strength and comfort.

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

We knew Khari through a circle of young friends that includes our son. Khari's kindness, manners and gentleness set him apart. He was a caring and helpful friend to our son, and in recent months, he was a valued garden helper, helping us keep ahead of the deluge of fallen leaves from our Oak and other trees. We hope that khari's family and loved ones find comfort in knowing how much he is loved by his Oakland friends, who kept vigil for several days. The love for the sweet young man you...

I was Khari's preschool teacher at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in 2007. I will never forget Khari's many thoughtful questions, his wonderful sense of humor, and the energy he brought to school each day. My heart goes out to Cheryl and Nolan for their loss.

I remember Khari showing me what Pokeman Go was in the upper yard at MLA while we were waiting for some school function for Xan, Micah, and Miguel. And thinking he was the "cool older brother" and that´s how Xan and Micah knew about the musical Hamilton. And talking to him about his support of hotel workers on the picket line. Such a sweet soul. Sending love, light, and comfort to Cheryl, Noland, Xan, and Micah. From Amaya, Ken, and Miguel
