Not sure what to say?

As Jeff Davidson's father, I was often both amused and alarmed at the "boys' " shenanigans. It amazed me that Jeff and "Fay" always seemed to know when one or the other would be in Shippensburg. Long after the boys went their separate ways, we benefitted from and enjoyed the occasional visits at Cumberland Ave or at the cabin. Kieran's visits to "Ma Fay" often included one to "Ma Davidson", too. He took his study of history seriously and loved to discuss what he was reading as well as current...

I got to know "Fay" through my brother Jeff Davidson. I loved listening to Fay and Jeff swapping stories when he came to visit. He was like another brother. It was great to have him drop by the cabin or the house. He and Jeff had so many wonderful times. My favorite Fay story is the time he was driving Jeff down the highway. He was expounding on the appropriate speed to go if you wanted to be above the speed limit yet not get a ticket. Right after his explanation Jeff said, "Put on your...

Kieran spent lots of time with my brother Jeff. As Jeff's sister, I remember the 5 buddies (Jeff, Kieran, Jay, Kurt and Allen) hanging out together, sharing a house at Big Flat and sharing clothes when needed. These guys reminded me of a bunch of puppies because they were always enjoying life. What amazed me was the incredible bond of friendship they formed even though they went their separate ways after leaving Shippensburg. I know Kieran and Jeff continued to enjoy each other's friendship,...

I got to know "Fay" through my brother Jeff. It seems there has always been a story circulating about Fay and the boys and their latest escapade. The one that pictures Kieran best for me is when Jeff was heading back into the apartment downtown in Shbg and saw a lighted cigar sticking out between two panes of the jalousie window. Several steps further he saw the cigar flare up as someone was obviously taking a big puff. When he got into the apartment he discovered Fay with dish suds up to his...

I am Jeff Davidson's sister-in-law, Glenda Davidson (wife of Frank). Kieran (always known affectionately as "Fay" to the Davidson clan) graced us with his presence many times at our family cabin in Lower Horse Valley. When Fay showed up, everyone gathered around the wood stove to hear Fay tell stories - - which started from almost the moment he entered the door! We have laughed for YEARS about the many events which took place in the apartment the boys rented on King Street in Shippensburg - -...

My family and I will always remember with great fondness the times we spent with Kieran. From the first time he came to visit his brother, Brian, at my mother-in-law's house, he always had us laughing. The conversations were always thoughtful, but you could always see the amusement in his eyes. We feel greatly blessed to have known him, and we will miss his visits greatly. We send his family and friends our sincerest sympathy and prayers. He will be missed.

We are the parents of Jay Greenstein who was a very close friend of Kieran's. In fact, they were the closest of friends and we knew Kieran when we lived in Shippensburg from 1974 to 1980. Kieran was a key member of the group of friends that Davidson describes above in his letter. We learned about Kieran's passing from a very sad telephone call from our son, Jay. We share in the grief of all those who knew Kieran, and we extend to the family the condolences
of all of our other children,...

My sincerest sympathies to your family. I am Jay's sister and knew Kieran as my brother's best friend when they were in school.I saw Kieran a few times after he moved here to Pittsburgh. He was always watching one or more of Jay's animals! But no matter how old he got,he was forever frozen in time as one of my younger brother's goofy friends, but that's not such a bad thing! I hope you can find peace in the knowledge he made his mark in the world and left many people better for knowing him.

Kieran will truely be missed by his friends at Fieldcrest Steel. His upbeat outlook on life, and his unique sense of humor brought a smile to our faces everytime he stuck his head in our door. We offer our deepest sympathy to all of his family and friends.
