So sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking to him when he worked at the City of Alexandria. My prayers will be with your family at this time.

My uncle was there for me at a time when things were pretty rough in my young life. His brother, my father Johnny, had died and left me fatherless. I must have ridden my bike to Darrell's house a thousand times, just needing somewhere to go. Darrell always let me hang out. He had a crew of his own, but he knew I needed a positive influence to help me get thru that tough time. Darrell was a good man. I worked with him at the City of Alexandria for almost 20 years and played my first ever round of golf with him and Greg. I will always consider him one of the FINEST men I've ever known. The world is surely a lesser place with his departure.
