Kim Bloomquist

A year has gone by since Kim's passing! You and your family remain in my thoughts. My sincere hope is that you will feel the support coming from friends and colleagues.

My condolences to you, Sharon, and your family. Kim certainly was an adventurer and persevered to achieve and contribute so much in his life. Sharon, I have been inspired by your dedication to helping him through these last years, to make the most of this most difficult situation! May you all find peace in good memories!

I was lucky enough to work with Kim on a couple of projects and to co-author some research papers with him. Kim travelled to Boone, NC to work with our team on tax compliance projects. I treasure the memories of those visits - scholarship and fellowship. My condolences to Kim's family.

Kim was a wonderful friend and great host when I visited Washington a few years ago. Unfortunately due to his health he was unable to visit my institution (University of Canterbury). My deepest condolences to all of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kim was my classmate at North Muskegon. I shall remember Kim as a kind, happy, genuine and positive person. I wish that I could see him again after all these years. My deepest sympathy to all his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Kim from Australia on the estimation of tax gaps: Estimating Corporation Income Tax Under-Reporting Using Extreme Values from Operational Audit Data. Kim was the lead author of the paper and his insight and experience helped us immensely. A person generous with his time and assistance. He will be missed.

Condolences for all of Kims' family from all of us here at the IRS who worked with him. He was a fine man and we appreciate his efforts and insights.

Dear Sharon, Brent, and Karin, I am so sorry for your loss. Kim was a brilliant scholar, a wonderful colleague, and a valued friend. He will be greatly missed.

Jerry has very fond memories of Kim as one of his students at North Muskegon High School. We are so sorry for your loss and are happy that we got to also know Kay & Bill, Carlie, and Drew in later years.
